ABOUT MAYOR INDAY SARA

Sara Zimmerman Duterte-Carpio, also known as “Inday Sara” is the current mayor of Davao City, Philippines. She is the first woman mayor of Davao City. From  June 30, 2010 until June 30, 2013, she also served as Mayor of Davao City. From June 30, 2007 to June 30, 2010 she was the Vice-Mayor of Davao City.

Mayor Sara is the daughter of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, the incumbent 16th president of the Philippines. Her mother is Elizabeth Abellana Zimmerman.

Mayor Sara is a lawyer and a full pledged colonel of the Philippine Army Reserve Command in the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). She is married to fellow lawyer Manases R. Carpio. The couple have three children named “Sharky”, “Stingray” and “Stonefish”
